FAQs

If you live in North East Lincolnshire and your place of work is located in one of the following areas you may be eligible for a SmartCommute bus pass:

  • South Humber Bank
  • EuroParc

A list of eligible companies can be found here.

If you live in the Greater Grimsby area and your place of work is on either the Europarc or South Humber Bank business park, you can join the scheme by submitting an online application form. Once your employment has been verified and your submission approved, the SmartCommute team will send your pass out in the post. Passes are issued for the first day of the calendar month.

After your application has been processed you will be issued with your ID card and SmartCommute pass, both of which will be required to travel. The fee for the pass will be taken monthly through your chosen account. Although you are not tied to the scheme, we would like you to consider SmartCommute pass as a long-term option. You must give one month’s advance written notice to cancel your card and return it to us. Failure to do so will leave you liable for the remaining cost of your pass.

Every time you travel on a Stagecoach bus within the Grimsby area you simply show the driver your photo ID card along with your SmartCommute pass. It’s that simple – no money, no paper tickets, no hassle with change.

Stagecoach will endeavour to keep the cost of travel as low as possible. Naturally, the more people that join SmartCommute, the easier this will be. The scheme will be reviewed on an annual basis and any increases notified to SmartCommute card holders at least a month in advance.
